White Oak Estate & Gardens…The Only Destination for your Special Event!
Welcome to White Oak Estate & Gardens, a catering and events management facility owned and operated by world-renowned executive chef, John Folse, for 25 years. Whether you are celebrating a wedding or social occasion, hosting a cocktail reception or dinner, planning a luncheon, meeting or company event, White Oak is the only destination for your special affair. Offering an extensive selection of hors d’oeuvres, cold and hot appetizers, soups, entrées and carving stations, White Oak caters to your budget.
Nestled near the end of George O’Neal Lane, just 20 minutes from downtown Baton Rouge, White Oak offers 22 acres of lush foliage, gardens and lakes for your celebration. Built in 1970's and modeled after traditional homes of Louisiana’s River Road, White Oak's oak-lined drive, majestic Doric columns, thick masonry walls and grand staircase set the tone for an elegant event. Inside the home, the parlor with its lovely mantled fireplace, 26-foot ceiling and three-tiered crystal chandelier invite guests to a memorable evening of soft music, indulgent food and beautiful wines that impress the palate long after the evening adjourns. Tastefully appointed with antique and period furnishings, the parlor is adjoined by a private room for meetings or use as a bridal suite prior to a wedding ceremony and reception. Adjacent to the foyer and parlor is an elegant grand French ballroom featuring black and white marble floors, three crystal chandeliers and complementary wall sconces.
Outdoors there is a New Orleans-style courtyard featuring a fireplace, decorative fountain and Louisiana foliage. The large, outdoor pavilion is complete with a Spanish-style fountain and three magnificent open-hearth fireplaces for roasting fish or traditional cochon de laits. Completing the patio area is White Oak’s kitchen, a design patterned after Jean Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop in New Orleans’ historic French Quarter. Wonderful aromas tantalize guests as they stroll through the vegetable and herb gardens, pepper patch, quaint orchard and along the stone path leading to the lake.
From the time you arrive through White Oak’s gated entrance, until the moment the evening saunters to a savory close, the professional culinary, service and management team are committed to creating an unparalleled experience that lingers in the memory of guests for time to come.
